This is the 15th episode in a series on the greatest peaks in NBA history (focusing on 1977-2020), featuring detailed scouting reports and film breakdown on the best players in NBA history at their best, along with analysis of their impact using historical data & stats to size up the highest peaking players ever.

When I first watched Steph during his 54-point game in New York, I always surprised when his shots go in. Now, I get surprised when his shots DO NOT go in. The man redefined concepts of "good shot" and "open looks".

KD is still more lethal than curry. Size matters. Those who say size doesn't matter are the ones without size or the ones trying to comfort those without size. Edit : Respect to Steph Curry though he is a legendary scorer that changes how the game is played. Add him to any team and you are very hopeful for a playoff run. Add him to a great team and that team will become favorable title contender.

Please take into the consideration that the rules favour more offensive style of play. So don’t compare different eras to each other, it is not fair. Steph Curry is one of greatest offensive players in this era.

Reggie Miller played WAAAY better defense than Steph Curry. If all Reggie and Larry Bird had to do was shoot forever, giving their size, they would be putting Steph numbers too. Hell, even guys like Steve Kerr and Mark Price would too. I hate when blind casual fans discuss numbers and completely ignore the differences on how the game was played to achieve such numbers.

He is not the wonder guy. Lebron took his team 8 consecutive times to the finals (lets say in 3 he had help from other star players) the other 5 he did it himself. Curry is not able to take his team even to the playoffs without the help of some other star. I would only say that he is possibly the best 3 point shooter in history but nothing else beyond that. He needs another super star in his team to shine to the level of winning championships. Now he resembles more westbrook when got elected MVP (useless when in comes to winning championships)

The entire series has been remarkably fair, but this is the first one I can't avoid perceiving a bit of extra effort (30 min?) on "data torturing" and creativity on perspective to make him look extra good in offense and not so mediocre on defense. Yes, he is the best shooter and one of the best scorers of all time, but unless you have spent a good time watching him play, you might walk away with the impression he is actually a really good defender. He's not terrible, but he looks way too good in the analysis, particularly when compared to the other players in the series.

Steff should have been humble enough to mention that fact, to acknowledge the magnificence of Wilt. Today's youth need an Alpha male like Wilt, who was an individualist, who worked hard and lived a life without being a cry bully like today's NBA betas. No one single player has put so much pressure on the defense simply by standing 40 feet away from the rim. His current 2021 season is showing even with triple teams and constant doubles, he's killing it with 11 (& counting) 30+ games, 62 career high, & a month averaging 40+. It's unfortunate both important playoff years of 2015 & 2016 he was injured. When healthy he is the most lethal offensive player ever. He makes his teammates better than other MVPs of the past. As a pure lover of the game, I disliked it when people kept insisting the bulls would have guarded him well. They couldn't even guard Chris Jackson (Abdul-Rauf) in one of their 10 losses to Denver that year, and in 2016, Phil Jackson himself got criticism for saying Curry reminded him of Rauf - because the shooting from those 2 were unguardable. No one goes nuclear like Curry except Thompson every few years. Curry does it every season.

hm... i wondered if it might be harden but his highest number of attempts was 2018-19, 4.8/13.2, 36.8%, so obviously not him. not damian lillard, either, he's not quite that, uhhh, ambitious. this season he's making the most attempts he's ever had and it's just 4.1/10.8, 37.9%. and then i decided it was time to stop guessing and went here: www.espn.com/nba/stats/player/_/table/offensive/sort/avgThreePointFieldGoalsAttempted/dir/desc i went through the regular and postseasons through 2010-11 and didn't find this player, so i think they probably made a typo or something.

BUT Curry was just something else. It was hard to replicate his shooting volume and percentage in video games, forget about real life stats. The fact that we are able to debate if Curry is a better offensive player, compared to the freaks like LBJ, MJ, Hakeem, Shaq, ... is insane if you ponder about it long enough.

"Was?" He's finishing better than ever this year, and is very close both to 50-40-90 and to a scoring title, which he might still get. SO much fun to watch.

Whose here during his latest killing spree? I know this series is about his season a few years ago, but nice to see that his performance is still so great!

Can you do a greatest Game's series? Like which games had the most action? I'm imagining like game 6 of Heat vs Spurs or Thunder v Warriors in 2016

Players who teams actually win can score and do all kinds of selfish stuff. But they rather win. It's a difference. Where is his team? Fighting for a play in spot. Players like Dame BEEN great with their team in the playoffs by themselves. Every year. Without Klay, Steph not doing anything at all. Nobody scared of Warriors. Certain players don't get measured in regular season. Go learn ball. They get measured by their playoff performances. What does Steph do in the playoffs when it counts? Did he brick that 3 after Kyrie crossed him for that Ring or naw? Klay is why they win when it counts. Put Steph on OKC like Russ was by himself and they WILL NOT make the playoffs. Period. Speaking of OKC, Game 5, down 1-3 to OKC. Who is the reason OKC didn't close that series out? Klay. Not Steph. Where was Steph offense when it counted that game? Where is it when it counts in ANY playoff game? Mf could NEVER be Mike, Kobe, etc...u are crazy. Kobe won multiple rings with Shannon Brown, Bynum, Farmar, Adam Morrison, Sasha Vujacic, Luke Walton, Sun Yue, Fisher, Mbenga...like come on now. Come talk to me when Steph wins multiple rings with teams like that. I can go on and on...AI made the finals with Snow, Mckie, I think Hughes...I forgot who else but Steph would NEVER make it to the playoffs with these teams others had. Kobe went a whole month of 50 and 60 point games to will his teams into the playoffs yo...go learn ball. Lastly, gimme Kyrie all day..u buggin. Ctfu! Steph my man tho, still gotta keep it real.
